Meet our Staff Members

The staff and leadership here at First Mineola are comprised of men and women who love, care and pray for every single person in the church.

  • Phillip joined FBC in October of 2018.  He has previously served at churches in Louisiana and Texas.

    He is married to Lori and has two daughters - Jessica and Megan, and a son, Eric.

    When not crafting his sermon, you can find Phillip with his guitars.

  • Kendall Banks came to Mineola in January 2005, accepting a call to serve FBC Mineola as Minister of Youth / Education.

    He is married to Kim.  They have three daughters:  Kiley,  Karsyn and Kenzi.

    Kendall actively follows all his daughter's sporting/dancing activities and enjoys sports of just about any type!



    Sarah grew up attending FBC Mineola and recently moved back to the area. She served in Children's Ministry at Frisco First Baptist Church prior to moving back to east Texas.

    She is married to Joe and they have two children--Brooklyn and Beckett.

    In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with family, playing board games, and cheering on her kids at their sporting events.

  • René Sorenson joined our staff September of  2021.

    She serves both the Worship Arts Ministry and Education and Youth Ministries as an assistant.

    René and husband Mike have 2 boys and 3 grand-children.

    When not at work, René likes to spend time with her grandchildren.

  • Lynne alliett

    administrative assistant

    Lynne joined our staff in March of 2019!

    She serves as the Senior Pastor's administrative assistant.

    Lynne and husband Craig have a son, Mark, and a  daughter, Sarah, who both live in the Nashville area with their 4 grandchildren!

    When not at work, Lynne enjoys reading, antiquing, watching old movies and playing her piano and flute.

  • Rodney has been on staff at FBC since 2010. Rodney and his wife Cindy have been members since 2001 and have 3 children: Calli, Carter and Corban.

    When not working at the church, you might find him on the greens, working on his golf game.
